Drinking With Your Ghost, Releasing Halloween

It's been a long time in the making, over a year, that Danny Blau (my friend, producer, and co-writer on this track) have been sending this song back and forth. 

Danny is a prolific songwriter and had the majority of the music for this song all fleshed out. He sent it to me thinking that it would sound good with my voice and lyrics over it. I heard it and fell in love with the track and immediately wrote the lyrics of Drinking With Your Ghost. 

We recorded this song while I was quite pregnant with my second daughter in hopes that we'd be able to release it while I was on maternity leave. (This was at the advice of my therapist after hearing me lament about "losing my identity" during my first maternity leave. ) And now, here I am, on maternity leave, feeling ever so grateful that we worked hard to get this track ready.

I love this collaboration so much and I can’t wait for you to hear the track when it releases on October 31. It was awesome to work with Danny so closely for this song (and another track I'm releasing before the end of the year). Two other friends contributed their artistic stylings as well. Kyle Caprista played drums on the track and Megan Slankard added a ton of background vocal layers to help give the song that haunting richness.
