LOCATIONS

Music for Littles is a great way to learn and play! Classes allow children to sing, release energy, and get up-close and personal with different kinds of instruments. Classes use shakers, drums, scarves and other musical toys to experiment with sounds and rhythms. Music is a mix of original songs and well known children’s songs all taught by mom-of-two and long-time musician, Tawnee Kendall.

WHAT DO I NEED TO KNOW ABOUT CLASSES?

  • Classes are ~45 minutes long.

  • $15 for the first child. Add a sibling for $10.

  • All ages are welcome. Children must be accompanied by an adult who can help guide them through songs.

  • A collection of original songs are accessible via YouTube playlist.

  • No music or dance skills necessary to join!

  • Class attendance is capped at 12 little ones.

STRUCTURE FOR CLASSES

  • Welcome

  • Introductions, ice breaker and “Hello!” song

  • Brief and easy music lesson

  • Upbeat songs involving movement, rhythm, and following along to get the wiggles out

  • Dance party with instruments and toys + parachute (Louder portion of the class, lasts ~7-10 minutes)

  • Soft movement and songs for calming our bodies

  • Restful & meditative activity

  • “Goodbye!” song

MEET THE TEACHER

Tawnee Kendall is a musician and mom-of-two who understands first-hand the magical power music holds for everyone! Tawnee combines singing, guitar playing, movement, and calming exercises to provide a rich and full experience for youngsters to exert energy, learn togetherness, and practice rest.

When Tawnee isn't singing to little ones, you can find her writing original music and performing all over California. She also enjoys yoga, hiking amongst the trees, and spending time with her family.
